Fixture/Managers Meeting
The next meeting of the South Manchester Girls Football League will be held on Thursday 25th April 2013. The meeting will be held at Sale Rugby Club, Heywood Road, Sale, M33 3WB at 7.15 for a 7.30pm start.
Manchester FA will be in attendance at the meeting to briefly outline and answer questions on the roll out of the ‘Whole Game’ proposals.
I would also ask all teams that have qualified for our finals, or are still in with a chance of reaching the finals, to stay back for 15 minutes after the meeting to run through some finals day protocols and admin.
Fixture Evaluations
As of the 23rd Feb, fixtures will be monitord by the SMGFL under the guidance of the CSL coordinator. Please ensure everything is in order.
Welcome to the SMGFL Season 2012/2013
The talk of sport this year is about the Olympics in Great Britain, but can I also bring to your attention to the facted that this season the league has its own sporting achievement.
You may ask ” what”
Our sporting achievement has been made by the South Manchester girls unique football league reaching its 10th year of supporting girls football teams throughout the greater Manchester area .
Looking back through the very begging when this unique league made its first steps to the unknown on Lostock fields we asked ourselves would girl’s football ever follow in the steps of the boys football.
My answer has to be the proof is in the pudding
Through the dedication of the players, parent, coaches and the fantastic volunteers of the committee I have working behind the scenes we now stand in good strength going forward to the next ten years who knows what the next ten year may hold for girls football.
To celebrate this fantastic achievement the committee are considering hold a special night “ social night with a twist” for the members to celebrate this great achievement, all monies raised on this night would go to a local charity.
Thank you all for the support over the past ten years .
